After a long trip back and forth to Lexington, the players and coaches are excited about coming home to Daytona Beach for the home opener at the Ocean Center.  “Coming to the Ocean Center brings back great memories for me.” Coach Walls noted.  “I returned a kickoff for a touchdown in that arena when I played for the Predators and I hope to build positive memories as a Head Coach.”

When asked what to expect this weekend, Coach Walls was direct in his answer.  “I expect to see our offense move the ball in a more exciting fashion this Sunday.”

The players are also excited to play their first game at the Ocean Center.  “It will be great to play at home in front of our hometown fans” said quarterback Steven Moffett.

Even though the ThunderBirds suffered a tough loss week 1, the players see this upcoming game as a crucial test.  According to Jamaal Lewis, “we just need to regroup and focus ourselves.  This will be a test of our character.”
