DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Memo to Daytona Beach Thunder fans: don't show up at 3:15 p.m. to buy a ticket for Sunday's home opener at 3:30 p.m.
Construction at the Ocean Center has forced the ticket office to be moved from the west side to the A1A side. Expect the potention for long lines.
However, the Thunder brass offers you an easy way to avoid the last-minute rush: Get here early and spend some time at the Ocean Walk Shoppes pre-game party that begins at 1. Games, live music, all that stuff just across the street.
"It's a full day of family activity,'' said Thunder Vice-President of Operations Brad Humphrey. "Make the best of the situation and have some fun in the process."
