ANOTHER LOOK: THUNDER STAGING NOVEMBER 18 WORKOUT IN DELAND
2006-11-09 12:08:30

DELAND, Fla. – The Daytona Beach Thunder is holding a second local tryout on Saturday, November 18 in DeLand at Sperling Sports Complex beginning at 9 a.m.

Tryout fees are $50, cash or money order only, and includes a Thunder t-shirt.

Eighteen players were signed at the last DeLand workout, but interest and a few remaining needs prompted Head Coach Leon Bright to stage another workout.

"I’d like to shore up the line on both sides,” Bright said. “And if there’s a quarterback out there who wants a shot – come on over.”

The Thunder enters its second season hoping to improve on a disappointing 6-8 mark in its inaugural year. Daytona Beach’s home opener at the Ocean Center is February 11, 2007 against the Augusta Spartans.
