DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. January 4– Hoping to fill a few gaps in his line-up before the January 21st opening of training camp, Daytona Beach Thunder head coach Leon Bright is conducting a final tryout on Saturday, January 13 at Sperling Sports Complex, DeLand.
“I think we’re in good shape, but there’s always a need for linemen and there’s always an intangible that comes out of these tryouts,” Bright said. “There will be a big roster turnover during the season, so I want to look at as many people possible.”

Workouts begin with registration at 8 a.m. Cost is $50, check or money order only.

Preparations for the Thunder’s second season and first in the World Indoor Football League continue and Bright is confident.

“There’s some talent on our roster,’’ Bright said. “I have a strong core of returning players and a mix of new blood. We’ll be fine.”
